About Palladium Health

Our software is used by clinic staff who are on their feet, interrupted constantly, and often working a screen with one hand while holding a phone with the other. That shapes everything about how we build the front end. Palladium Health is about 200 people building care-coordination tools for specialty practices, and the product engineering group runs on a four-day week.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the clinical workspace, a dense single-page application where staff spend six hours of their working day.
• Take ownership of accessibility across the product, including keyboard-only workflows, screen reader support and the colour contrast decisions that keep getting quietly broken.
• Improve perceived performance on the hardware our customers actually use, which is frequently a five-year-old laptop on clinic wifi.
• Extend our component library in partnership with design so that patterns are decided once and reused rather than reinvented per screen.
• Raise the standard of our front-end testing, particularly around the scheduling and medication flows where a bug has real consequences.
• Take part in code review with enough care that people learn something from your comments.

What we're looking for

• Five or more years building production front-end applications, with deep TypeScript and React experience.
• Demonstrable accessibility knowledge. You should be able to explain the difference between an accessible name and a label, and know when ARIA is the wrong answer.
• Real experience with performance work: profiling, measuring, and fixing the thing the measurements pointed at rather than the thing you assumed.
• A pragmatic testing philosophy and the ability to defend it.
• Care about the people using the software. Our users cannot afford to spend their day fighting the interface.
• Eligibility to work in the United States or Canada, with substantial overlap with Eastern Time.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data models or working inside HIPAA constraints.
• Familiarity with offline-tolerant or intermittently connected applications.
• Contributions to an open source component library or accessibility tooling.

Compensation is set by a published internal band and shared at the first interview stage, along with the level we are considering you for.
